WELCOME TO THE 2010-1011 SEASON

The swim team will again be coached by Gary Shank, who will be in his 32nd season.  Returning as assistant coach is former Herd swimmer and IUP star Jason Griffith, who will be in his eighth year as assistant coach. Also, former Herd swimmer and Maryland U. star Danny Gray will also return as assistant coach. Bob Rowe will be helping on deck as a volunteer assistant. The diving team will again be coached by Rick Sample.  Last year the Herd Girls finished at 7-6 and the Boys were 6-7. 
Returning seniors for the Girls are Kelsey Cochran, Lauren Greenaway, Kim Kastriba, Amanda Martin, and Melanie Mollack. Returning for the boys are seniors Jesse Herold and Kyle Kingsborough.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE FIRST WEEK:

Monday - 7 - 8:30 p.m. - in bleachers at 6:45 ready to go
Tuesday - 3 - 5 p.m. - in bleachers 2:45
Wednesday - 10 - 12 a.m. - in bleachers 9:45
Thursday - off
Friday - 7 - 8:30 a.m. at YMCA in bleachers 6:45

Monday - Friday - 7 - 8:30 p.m. - up top at 6:15 for dryland program

IMPACT TEST: All athletes are required to take the impact test before participating. If you took it last year, you are good to go. It is good for 2 years. New athletes must go to the school web page and take the test and submit it (just follow directions) to be eligible.
